What can I say about my aunt Sue that’s not already been said ?
Sue. Well, I called her Sue but she had other names too. Aunt Sylvia. Or Aunty Soups. There is Sylvia Hughes as well as Sylvia Bowen. She had a lot of names.

Sue was generous and kind with a huge heart. She was definitely funny and even silly at times. She loved to laugh and what a great laugh she had.
If I close my eyes and picture Sue in my mind - she is definitely smiling. Actually, not just smiling but laughing. That huge laugh that could fill a room. Maybe you also heard that laugh.

That’s Sue. Well, that’s Sue for me and how I will always remeber her.

Sue - miss you already. Miss you terribly. And always will.

Despite the distance of over 3,000 miles between me and Sylvia, my Auntie Sue, she was always an important part of my life!

I enjoyed the times that we spent together - whether it was going for a walk or chatting while she was ironing. I always appreciated her enthusiasm for life, and her wise and practical advice.

Sue's love of music had an influence on me: that’s one of the reasons I ensured my three sons grew up in a house full of music. And that is also one of the reasons that my middle son, Philippe, is so devoted to composing and performing his songs.

My husband Claude, our boys and I will always have fond memories of her.
